Nigeria singer, Azeez Fashola known as Naira Marley claps at the federal government few hours after his ongoing trial at the federal high court in Lagos state was adjourned till December.

Reflecting his distaste with the state of his trial, the singer subtly vent his spleen by claiming to be the’ problem’ of Nigeria albeit in sacarsm.


In a tweet, the singer called himself the problem of Nigeria – not the Federal Government or officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

On thursday, the federal high sitting in Lagos had adjourned his case till December 11 and 12 shortly after the defence counsel began to cross examine the prosecutor’s witness.

The presiding Judge Nicholas Oweibo was constrained to move the trial further after an argument erupted between counsels in suit over inadequate seating arrangement.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] is charging Naira Marley with 11 counts bordering on conspiracy, fraud and possession of counterfeit credit cards.
