The Marvel’s latest movie, Avengers: Endgame, broke nearly every box-office record imaginable this past weekend, bringing in some $350 in North America and $1.2 billion total worldwide.

Avengers: Endgame is the fourth Avengers film and the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), released seven years after the first Avengers film and eleven years after the first MCU film.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film features an ensemble cast of actors reprising their roles from previous entries in the MCU.

Avengers: Endgame, which was initially projected to make $850 million to $900 million, accounted for at least four out of every five tickets sold in the US over the weekend.

The movie now holds the record for the largest worldwide opening and biggest North American opening. It is also made $1 billion faster than any other movie, hitting that total in just five days.
